Most West End shows have at least one official discount channel. The list below ignores resale sites and concentrates on routes the venues and producers themselves run.
TKTS Leicester Square
Run by the Society of London Theatre. Same-day and next-day tickets, usually at face value or with a discount. The Leicester Square booth and the official app are the two access points.
TodayTix
Lottery and rush programmes for several West End shows, plus a discounted-listings tab.
SOLT and OffWestEnd schemes
SOLT's Kids Week (free child tickets when paired with an adult ticket in August) and the annual Get Into London Theatre window in January-February both come through the trade body. OffWestEnd runs its own discounts for non-commercial venues.
Rush, lottery and day seats
- Rush - same-day cheap tickets, usually at the box office or through an app like TodayTix.
- Lottery - free-to-enter draws, ticket allocations released the day before or morning of.
- Day seats - a small number of premium front-row seats sold at low prices when the box office opens.
Memberships
If you go regularly to one venue, membership at the National Theatre, the Old Vic, the Bridge Theatre, the Almeida, the Royal Court, the Donmar Warehouse or Sadler's Wells is usually self-paying inside a year.
