Stranger Things: The First Shadow takes the Duffer Brothers' Netflix series back to a Hawkins set in 1959, where Henry Creel meets the young Joyce Maldonado and Jim Hopper. The production won three Olivier Awards including Best Set Design for its on-stage illusions. Stephen Daldry directs. Approximate running time two hours and forty minutes with an interval. Recommended for ages fourteen and up; some scenes are intense.
