Tim Minchin and Dennis Kelly's adaptation of Roald Dahl's Matilda, an RSC commission turned West End fixture.
Matilda began as a Royal Shakespeare Company commission and has played the Cambridge Theatre since 2011. Tim Minchin's score and Dennis Kelly's book sharpen Roald Dahl's story of a small girl with a quiet, dangerous brain and a teacher worth fighting for. Rob Howell's set turns the stage into a tumbling alphabet block. The production is family-friendly from about age six, with running time around two hours and forty minutes including the interval.
