About the show
Schonberg and Boublil's epic of revolution, redemption and barricades - now the world's longest-running musical.
Les Miserables has played the West End continuously since 1985, with the production reopening at the Sondheim in 2019 after the venue's refit. Cameron Mackintosh's staging trades the original Trevor Nunn revolve for a more cinematic look that leans heavily on projections of Victor Hugo's own drawings. The show's score - 'One Day More', 'On My Own', 'Bring Him Home' - remains the gold standard for sung-through musical drama. Running time is approximately two hours and fifty minutes including the interval.
