Rebecca Frecknall's immersive reimagining of Kander and Ebb's Cabaret, with the Playhouse remodelled as a Berlin nightclub.
Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club rebuilt the Playhouse Theatre into a working nightclub. Audiences enter through hidden corridors, drink in the venue's pre-show bars, and watch Sally Bowles and the Emcee tell the story of Weimar-era Berlin from a stage in the round. The production has cycled through high-profile Sallys and Emcees, and continues to draw international audiences. Running time is approximately two hours and forty minutes with an interval. Recommended for ages sixteen and up.
